Turning the Page

A new year is a time for reflection, a time to make resolutions for self improvements. I refuse to make resolutions. Instead, I want to focus on making each day a day that I can be proud of. My pride might be in something as simple as doing one small deed that brightened someone’s day, cooking a great meal, or even just surviving one more day.

This year is a year of transition for me. I am transitioning into retirement, becoming more active in the breast cancer community, and flexing my writing muscle by writing a novel. Each day I try to accomplish one task and do one kind act. That is enough.

I have let go of a few things: worrying about what others think, feeling stressed by “to do” lists that are too long, self criticism. Just “being” is enough. I am enough.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
